We are offering Free consulting for folks interested in becoming license exempt providers accepting DHS childcare assistance payments. We believe more family care providers could help fill the gap in affordable care for struggling families this fall.

What does becoming DHS certified entail?

You will need to get a background check, become CPR certified and take a few classes.

You will then be able to be listed with DHS as a childcare provider and can care for up to 3 children in your home without a license. You will be able to accept DHS childcare assistance payments from the families you provide care for.
